Where to find wild thorny devils in the bush? ?

I'm planning a trip to somewhere around SA, so preferably somewhere there. I want to see some in the bush...so some common places that i would have a good chance of finding one.

It inhabits arid scrub and desert over most of central Australia. In particular, it inhabits spinifex-sandplain and sandridge desert within the interior and mallee belt. Its distribution largely coincides more with the distribution of sandy and sandy loam soils than with a particular climate.

Sounds like the Simpson Desert would be a good place to start.
