I am looking for some Topographical Data that I can download free online. What I want to do with this data is use it to make a map using the program GMT that can be found here: http://gmt.soest.hawaii.edu/. I need to be able to convert this data into grid format using the xyz2grd command. Does anyone know where i can get a topographical data of Quebec for free that will allow me to do this.

  1. You can get topo maps from toporama (atlas of canada) but I am not sure that you would be able to use what you get for your purpose, mainly because I am not clear on what your purpose is.  You might be able to find digitized elevation data from NRCAN as the guy before me suggested.

  2. You might try here.
