3d custom design cakes are popular and unique..depends on ur budget and wad ur kid likes.. you can surprise them with a cake in the 3D shape of their fav cartoon or item..i know of a few pricey custom design bakeries which are pretty good and are well received.. such as the pattisier ( http://www.thepatissier.com/webtop/about... ) , room for dessert ( http://www.roomfordessert.com ) , kyocakes ( http://www.kyo.com.sg/products/cakes06.h... )..etc

these would be good if you are having a large party..coz the cakes are min 2kg and costs begin from around $150..
