  1. i work at michaels

    can't beat it!

  2. A C Moore

    MIchaels

    Any craft store

  3. K mart and Wal Mart sell frames but they're kind of boring.

Garage sales and yard sales are a possibility.

If your town has a "demolition yard" -- check there -- not for picture frames, but for window frames.  I once made a very pretty display using an old "storm window" with 6 panes in it.  I removed the glass (carefully), sanded and painted the frame.

Then I hung the frame on the wall and hung my "objects d'art" on the wall, each one  centered within one of the panes.  As an alternative, you could mount your shells on corregated plastic cut to fit the window panes and fasten them in with tape or tacks on the back.

  4. try www.myframestore.com

  5. You might want to consider a shadow box instead.  They have a cover over the top so you don't have to worry about them getting dirty or damaged.  I have bought several.  One I added balsa wood dividers to for small items.  Not that hard since balsa cuts with an exacto knife or razor blade.  You can display each shell in it's own little square.  I have bought them at Hobby Lobby, Michael's and Wal-Mart.

  6. Yard Sales - you might find a nice frame with an ugly pic you could use also.

    E-bay

  7. Michale's or Hobby Lobby stores. Last time I was shopping for a simple frame Hobby Lobby had tons of them to choose from.  Good luck.
