There is this Chinese restaurant in Excelsior Hotel near City Hall MRT station which has dim sum buffet. It's only $10 ++ per pax, and the variety is not too bad.

since you ask this under singapore category, it shall be restaurant Yum Cha in Chinatown, I just went there the other day and I would say the Dim Sum is really good,its has a wide variety for you to choose from and the best part is that its reasonable priced at only $16.80++ but its available only on weekdays from 3.00 - 5.30pm

there is no wrong or right way to say Dim Sum, its just a connotation as other perceive it, anyway EnJoy TiMSuMMinG!

Yum Cha in Chinatown and Dragon Gate Restaurant  in Harboufront offers buffet style dim sum, but their fare are mostly factory made and not as fine as hand made ones.

I will go for the authentic hand made ones at Red Star at Chin Swee Road as suggested by leanoveree.

Alretnatively you can try at any of the Crystal  Jade Kitchen outlets - there are many.

1-Red Star Restaurant, Blk 54 Chin Swee Road, #07-23

Singapore. If you are going with old folks, this is definately a favourite place for them, lots of traditional tim sum at good price. Very crowded place but the queue is fast.

2-Yan Palace Restaurant. At Hong Lim Complex

Blk 531 Upper Cross Street, #01-49 Hong Lim Complex. Slightly higher price and premium tim sum like vinegar trotters. Old folks love it.

the best ones are at red star restaurant,my family always go there to eat,enjoy le meal!!!
