Question:

Where to get federal grants for community improvement?

I live in a city where about 30% of the trees have been killed by Emerald Ash Borer....problem is, it happens to be a city that cant afford to have the trees removed, and neither can most of the residents.

Anyone know which government agency I would apply to, to see if I could get a grant to have them removed?

They really are dangerous (they are starting to fall across intersections, on private property, etc) and lower housing prices.

All suggestions appreciated!

Thanks a bunch all!

Be well

  1. Go to your library and ask the librarian to give you the tour on Government and Business resources. Bit of advice, skip the US Government grants on that one. You will do better getting a grant from your own state or a private instution. Another short cut is look uo Jay Lesko on line. He sells a package on obtaining grants as well as how to apply. Even computer generated forms. Over $600 Billion in grants are given annually in the US.

  2. Why don't you ask around, spread the word, and see if you can't get a volunteer group together and take care of the problem.

Leave the federal government out of it.

Geez where do these people get the idea that government is the solution for everything?
