I am getting married on 12.31.08 and I need a good place to get married. My fiance and I have been looking around at churches but they either won't let us get married there or they are too expensive. I would really love to get married in a church but can't seem to find anything. Does anyone know of any place that is unique that we can get married in? We have the option of getting married at the hotel where the reception is, but we don't like the idea of that we want something with a little more character. If anyone knows of a place please let me know.

Thanks!

  1. For those churches that are refusing to let you have your wedding ceremony, I assume that's because they only allow members to use the sanctuary for weddings, right?

So, why not pick a church that you like, and join it?  Obviously, church has some meaning for you, or you wouldn't care about where your ceremony takes place.  And since you and your fiance are now starting out on your lives as an official couple, it's a good time to choose a church together.  That way, it becomes not just a location for a ceremony, but the beginning of your spiritual lives together.

I hope this helps, and you have my very best wishes for your wedding and after.  Good luck!!
