Where to get married in South lake Tahoe in November?

My fiancé and I are trying to plan a weeding for November in South Lake Tahoe if possible and would like to spend about $2,000 on the reception site not including food. What would you recommend I have been looking at a bunch of places on line but there isn’t anything that really jumps out at me. We are going to have about 50-75 people there. We don’t need a ceremony site because we are trying to get married in a catholic church but it may not work out that way.

  1. Maybe a ski resort?  There are lots of them out there and in November they shouldn't be too busy to handle it.  That's just the start of ski season out there isn't it?

If it were just a month or so earlier I'd say outside.  There are sooo many national park areas around the lake that are absolutely beautiful.  But November I think it's too cold for that.

Other than that, I'd suggest renting a vacation house.  That would probably be the best idea.  You can get a house real close to the lake, since that's out of season time.  It would be big enough for several people to stay (at least parents and siblings) and you'd have plenty of room to walk around.  You can usually rent in off season for just a weekend.  If not, a week shouldn't be much more than 2000 unless you are going for one of those mega-mansions.

I hope you are close b/c I really think you have to see that type of stuff in person.  50-75 isn't that many people but you'd had to get a place that held 80 and feel stuffed like sardines.

    Good luck.
