Question:

Where to get reusable bag ... ?

I tried (& still am) looking for a reusable bag-like a shopping bag I can use at groceries instead of plastic bags. I know Publix sells some sort of canvas like tote as well as other places. Only I'd like one that I can buy where some or all the money goes towards a donation-maybe some sort of environmental cause. I saw this one ( http://amazon.com/feed ) that donates to hungry children. I like it, but thought it was a little pricey. If I can't find anything I'll probably do it b/c of its cause, but just looking around for others. *I also like the style of it-it's burlap/cotton and how it's not plain! :-)

These are really cool, but they don't donate to a cause. You'll probably use them over and over again though. Or...

These donate, and they're pretty too.

  2. I've just been buying them from Publix. Publix does so much good here for our local communities. alot of their "charity" work goes un-noticed. they give their day old bread away to local shelters and they buy their beef from locals. like the youth fair that was just held in Bartow. Publix buys beef from there. so go ahead & buy from Publix. they do their good behind the scenes. and they're local. that means something. we must keep our local grocers in business.

    Good Luck!

  3. I'm not sure if they still have it

But if you go to THE BODY SHOP

they have a five dollar canvas bag that goes towards

    fighting animal cruelty

  4. should be found /avaiablr nearcounter of huge supermarket

  5. Buy them at your local grocery store! Don't order them online, the energy consumption used to ship them to you offsets the benefits of using them in the first place. If you care about a charity that offers the bags for a donation, just buy local bags that don't need to be shipped and then make a donation to the charity! Buying a reusable bag for its style is stupid, no one cares about you enough to judge you based the style of your grocery bags!

  6. I like Reusablebags.com -- I have some of their Acme Workhorse bags, and I like them a lot (they're roomy, strong and fold neatly into a little pouch in my purse).  They sell tons of different ones, though, and I know they donate at least some of their profits to environmental causes.

  7. Most of the grocery stores here sell reusable bags.  Which is convenient for those times I need to pick something up on the way home and don't have one with me.
