Question:

Where to get tamper proof seals for bottles of sauce

Someone I know has made a homemade chilli sauce which she is wanting to sell in shops. She has been to a few businesses who'd be interested in selling the sauce for her but she's been told that she'd need to have a seal on the top of the bottle to avoid contamination before they'd be willing to put it in their stores. Like the ones you'd find on bottles of milk, sauce, etc. Does anyone know how you'd go about getting the bottles sealed? Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Shona.

  2. The labels also need to contain nutritional information. Federal law.

In most states you will need a manufacturers license, the product to be made in a commercial kitchen, not in a home kitchen, and a Wholesale Food Handlers License.

You will also need Liability Insurance in case any one gets sick off it.

The bottles will have to be air tight sealed.
