  1. check your local telephone book, it can lead you to any local colleges, and to local school district offices and local individually run preschool programs

  2. Delta college is the local community college in Stockton.

Cal State Stanislaus is probably the closest university campus. I believe they also have a satellite campus in Stockton.

There is also a State campus in Sacramento.

  3. If you want to go to college for your Associates Degree I think Delta Community College would be your best bet (http://www.sjdccd.cc.ca.us/).  They are located in Stockton and offer a variety of classes.  The even offer weekend, evening (some in lodi), and online classes for those that work.  This would also be a good option if you want to get your general ed out of the way before going to a 4 year school.  Other colleges include:  California State University Stanislaus (http://www.csustan.edu/) in Turlock with a center in stockton offering some courses.  there is also California State University Sacramento (http://www.csus.edu/).  Both the state schools should be reasonably priced.  If you want a private college (which costs a lot more) there is University of the Pacific located in Stockton (http://web.pacific.edu/).   The choice is really up to you.

As for getting a job Delta college has a childcare center on campus so you could see if they are hiring.  If not, then ask if they know of any centers that are.  Sometimes preschools post jobs at the Delta center because they know then that they will get nicely qualified teachers.  Also, look in the phone book and call the local Lodi schools to see if any of them will be hiring (or are hiring now).  Most of the directors are friendly and will be willing to help you.  And if you don't have a phone book here is a link to a list of Lodi preschools:  http://local.yahoo.com/results?fr=dd-loc...   Just be yourself and put forth the effort to do a little searching and i know the right job will come along for you!  Hope I've been able to help!
