Where to go Shopping in New York

Question

I'm staying in NY for a couple days house sitting for a friend and would love to go shopping, I just have no idea where to go. She lives on 93rd and Columbus, and I am familiar with subway routes so any place within subway/walking distance would be great. I'm looking for anything, really, but I would love to find some vintage places if possible. But anything will do I would just like to stay away from the tourist pits like times square. Thanks in advance!

how about Queens Mall in Queens, Atlantic Terminal, Kings Plaza, Park Slope in Brooklyn.

you can find lots of vintage places to shop in the village. just take the 1 subway to times square and transfer to the R /N line and head all the way downtown.  it will be a lot of walking since you have the village and soho, unless you plan on taking a taxi.
