Where to go after school? uk?

Question

I leave school next year in the uk, and im not doing that well (going on progress report when i get back!!) i really want to become a radio presenter, tv presenter or even some comedy like in films or whatever.

if i were to be in tv presenting i would like to be like Jimmy Carr but if radio presenting it would be Chris Moyles! What do i study to become good at these things in the uk and do i stay on at 6th form or go to college? because if i stay on at 6th form i will be in my comfort zone but get treated less of an adult where as in college it would be out of my comfort zone but i feel i would be treated more of an adult! please help!!!

if i went to sixth form it would be at Bishop Luffa School in Chichester or if college it would be Chichester College if this helps!!! LOL

u dont stay at a college or sixth form. u jus live in halls for unis only.

u wud study media studies AS and A2 to get into radio presenting or tv presenting or those kinda areas but it can depend..but normally media studies gets u in. also to do acting u can do Drama...they even offer that at gcse level im sure.

u do need good gcse grades though.

go to ur nearest connexions office...they help people in ur situation esp school leavers

while media courses and english would probably be useful, on-the-job experience would be more useful

see if you can either volunteer or get a job at any local radio station (your local hospital probably has a charity-funded one you could volunteer at; otherwise there are obviously loads of local radio stations that you could help out at)

experience and ability are rated above exam results, if you're good

you will need to get good grades at a minimum Bs my friend has just finished university he got the grades and hes been offered a job with radio one in london but you need the good grades all i know is he attended southampton university and i don't know what he studied but good luck in your quest
