Where to go and what should I get as dorm necessities?

I’m moving into my dorm this Saturday, and I just wanted to make sure if I had all of the things one needs for a dormitory. I have some ideas, and plans to get some other things, but I wanted to see what opinions others had without clouding theirs with mine. So, any ideas?

Look around your house and see if there is anything you'll miss when it's gone. Pictures of your family will help, since you'll be alone in your room for most of your time. Go to Target; they've got lots of cheap stuff for college students, and you might find things you didn't think about.
