Where to go? diabetes-no insurance. cant get med card till 65yrs old?

my mom needs to go to a doc.

we went to womens clinic/state aid/etccccc-shes 58. needs detrol la/effexor/met forman.

my dad canceled their insurance 6 yrs ago- now cant get any. where should she go? in wisconsin

  1. Check to see if she qualifies for Medicaid in your state. Also check to see if there is any state sponsored insurance or health care plan. You can do this by calling doctor's offices, hospitals and human services. There might even be some kind of drug study that offers medication. Don't give up and keep looking for answers for your mom. They are there. Some hospitals offer free classes on diet/nutrition for diabetics. IF your local hospital does, try to see if she will go.  


  2. The county hospital has programs for people with no insurance.
