Where to go during early November for a 1 week romantic vacation?

Me my girlfriend's 3rd anniversary is this Early November. And currently, we don't know where to go or what to do. We live in Southern California.

So far, our ideas involve:

New York

take a short cruise

We don't want to go las vegas because she doesn't like gambling and honestly we sight see LV a couple times already. We've been to San Francisco, Santa Monica Pier.

We are planning maybe new york, but maybe too expensive....what about Lake Tahoe? what to do @ Tahoe during winter?

Any ideas? Actually, what about winter resorts? Places where you go in, it is like a hotel/cabin, and you have your own private spa, resort places. where you can just relax in the warmth while it is cold outside .ANyone? Thanks!

You're not to far away from absolute beauty on the entire Oregon coast with a lot of places to stay.   Visit Mt. St. Helen

I don't know much about that region but me and my girlfriend love going to the mountains so try somewhere along there

OMG, El capitan cabins just north of santa barbara are GREAT.  They are these little cozy but very chic cabins, with a great fire pits just outside your door, and during the winter, there are usually vacancies (always booked in summer). Ask for the 'most popular cabin' by the creek side.  It's close, but it feels far, and totally romantic and different.
