Where to go for Rainforest vacation?

I would like to take my two year old on vacation to see the rainforest, but I am not exactly sure where the best places are to go?

I want her to experience this kind of beauty and not some place like Disneyland.

Brazil, Cambodia, Malaysia, Guatemala... although, to be honest, I don't think the rainforest is the ideal holiday destination for a 2 year old... It's a tough climate and numerous precautions need to be taken.

Come to Puerto RIco.  We have the El Yunque National Forest.  It is the only tropical forest in the United States National parks system.

Ketichan Alaska has a beautiful rainforest on the island it's located on. It is a temperate rain forest not a tropical rainforest. I really enjoyed walking on the wooden trails that go deep into the rainforest  for miles. It is breath takingly beautiful.

Go to Costa Rica. I'm from there :) I think that out of all the countries in Latin America, it certainly is one of the safest. You would probably fly in to the city of San Jose and you'd have to drive into the mountains. There are lots of scenic hotels available out there. There's tons to see too beyond just the rainforest... the active volcano of Arenal is a spectacle, the hot springs warmed by the volcano (it's naturally at 90 degrees or more by its proximity to Arenal), and the surrounding rainforest.

You can take a Sky Tram tour if you think your little one can handle going up high. It's very safe. There are also an assortment of hikes ranging from easy to more difficult. There's tons to do. It's a beautiful country.

I would recommend Costa Rica, Nicaragua, panama or any other place in Central America....

The rain forest is a beautiful place...but if you want to see animals you have to go early in the morning, by mid morning, all the animals are deep in the forest, trying to keep cool.
