Where to go for community service?

I have to do community service for a week with my school and have no idea where to go. we get to pick

i live on the mornington peninsula.

for mine i went to a primay school in frankston and then too laricette lodge in frankston which was good.

(sorry dont no how to spell laricette.)

I'm in Sydney, so can't help with specific places, but I went to a nursing home when I was in yr 11.

It was hard, I won't lie, we didn't have to do wash the people or anything, but there are a few things to consider:

their rooms really smelt....REALLLY smelt. (I know I'll probably smell one day too, I'm not being mean, just speaking the truth)

Their food was gross and they often asked me to sneak to the shops.

They are lonely, it gets really sad.

I made a great friend though, he was this delightful old man, had a memory like an elephant (if what they say is true, elephants never forget)

He came up to my school in yr 12 to say hello but the bloody principal kicked him out coz it didn't look good having an old man come to an old girls' school. I was so angry.

But it was a great experience all in all.
