  1. Pull out your local Yellow Pages and find a running shoe store.

Stores dedicated to running take more time to measure your feet, observe you running, look for foot strike patterns, etc.

It's a good idea to take your current shoes in so they can see how they wear.

I find that running shoe stores often aren't more expensive.  They carry stock from previous years, and often have close-outs with steep discounts.

Once you are professionally placed in a shoe you like, you can buy them on line from Roadrunner, or similar sites.

  2. any athletic store should have what you need. Footlocker,Champs,Nike even has there own stores some places. i suppose all of those are world wide.

  3. JJB Sports, got a fantastic selection of trainers. You can try them on and the staff are really helpful and they gave me a leaflet with loads of different trainers in with info. V good

  4. Specialist running shop for your first pair and if you develop probmes with you knee joints.

Afterwards - if you are sticking to the same model of runnign shoe - go to a larger shop (JD sports and the like), or a factory outlet etc where you might get them cheaper

  5. Wow! I had to look for running shoes the other day! I would say go to sweatshop or look on the internet for good sheo shops! I got mine from sports soccer(don't know if it's still called that-the one in my area keeps changing!)

  6. Academy or any place they sell "New Balance".

    Made in the USA. ~~~~~~

Well built & feel great, in all the right places.

  7. I have been running for 8 years now. Though I am biased towards Nike as a brand, I would recommend you to go to a running-specific store, like Fleet Feet in Carrboro, NC. They can help you find the right shoe because people buy shoes that aren't necessarily right for their feet, but more comfortable or fashionable. But after you get the correct shoes or even if you haven't, I would go to any major athletics store and ask the sales associates because they are getting paid to know the products they are selling. But make sure you state the use/reason for buying the shoes. Good luck!!!

  8. It is best to go to a running shoe store that specializes in running shoes.  They can look at your current shoes (wear those to the store) and watch you jog on a treadmill to see what shoe is best for you.  I have gone to a big box type sporting goods store, and the sales people knew nothing about pronation, stability, motion control....  You want to go to a store that can help you find the best shoe for your running style.  Not just the one that looks cool.

  9. I suggest either shoe zone,Soccer sports or JD Sports.the best make is proboly Nike air.
