Where to go for vacation in CA?

my husband is coming from Irak in 2 weeks and i will like to take him to a nice romantic places we kind off like the beach and been in a nice place so we can forget about things where should we go? name places or web so i can look it first.

I'd head for the Central Coast of California.  There are some great places to stay...it's beautiful and less crowded than other beach areas.

You can enjoy wine tasting in Paso Robles or San Luis Obispo, rent an ATV and ride the dunes at Oceano Dunes just south of Pismo, relax on a beach, and more.  For info on the Central Coast visit http://www.cheers2wine.com/central-coast...

get a decent hotel up in orange county.. If money isnt too much of an issue.. maybe get a hotel by the beach.. take a trip up to disneyland (military get discounts) and make a few trips to the pier on the beach and stuff. Have a great time! Thank your husband for me

You should try the northern coast like around Mendocino its beautiful and relaxing.

Monterey/Carmel area is nice. Bodega Bay, which is north of San Francisco is also nice
