Where can I find a local spot to get something patented?

what i would do is make a copy of the prints and take them to a notery and put them in a sealed envelop and mail them back to yourself and do not open it this way you have prof that it was your idea

You need to file a patent application with the US Patent Office.  Depending on the complexity getting a patent attorney can be helpful, though some have managed to handle it on their own.

Filing a patent is not something to be done lightly.  If you're serious about it and it's a product that you feel can make you some money, I'd start by reading a book or two on the subject and consulting with an attorney to keep all your bases covered.
