  1. why cant they work...do most anything..just bring in some money...

  2. They can go to a local Family Emergency Shelter and get temporary food, housing and maybe child care while looking for work. They probably both need jobs even if he joins the military, which is a good idea.

The Army is now accepting people with "backgrounds". And to say no one is hiring sounds like the typical excuse of the lazy or drug-impaired. Even if that were true, if the work won't come to him, he will have to go find it, maybe in a different town. They have burned a lot of bridges. Now they will have to build some new ones. Maybe your dad can give them a ride down to the shelter.

  3. Salvation Army shelter.  Ask Family and Children's Services about other shelters.   Are these his and her kids or his kids with someone else (meaning does she need shelter just for her or her + children?)  Is she willing to go someplce w/out him for a while if need be to stay somewhere safe? If so she can call 1-800-RUNAWAY and see if they can direct her to a shelter for 18-21 yr olds.  This is NOT saying she is a runaway just that the same organization has safe places for older teens and early 20's to stay.   If these are her kids and with her she may be eligible for welfare and should apply.

Job corps could be abother possibility but it is not instant.   Backgrounds are OK there depending on what the situation was.

Most agencies and ministries will not pay rent for someone who has no possibility of paying continuing rent.   If a shelter doesn't suit them bec they can't sleep in same place or whatever reason or won't accept them they might want to check out camping places.

There  is pretty much no place where there are absolutely no jobs if someone is determined to find one.   It may not be the job a person wants but there is almost always something.http://www.palmbeachpost.com/classifieds... shows quite a few jobs in the area.  7 pages screens of those do not require any experience.  https://www.employflorida.com/  also lists jobs.   In their circumstances they might want to call motels and mini storage places and see which ones might offer a place to stay as part of the pay. Some campgrounds may too.   Another possibility might be a night job even if it is fast food.  That keeps one or both off the street at night and brings in some money.   Very possibly your dad and a few other friends might be willing for them to sleep one day or two in the daytime on the couch here and there and take a shower or they could camp till they get money enough for an apartment and helping agencies are much more likely to help if someone is working.   If either of them did work in the last couple of yrs and has not yet drawn unemployment that might be a source of money.

  4. join the military.

  5. get her to swallow her pride and go back to her parents, if the kids are his the're not her responsibility i mean what is there for her in the future, let's be realistic

  6. hmm...that's too bad especially with children involved.

i would recommend recieving local help from the town hall and churches. you'd be surprised how kind people can be. i would recommend after that saving as much money as possible from even small part time jobs...trust me they DO exist

in fact, even if people can't have them living with them, maybe some of these people can give them some work to do.

they just have to get their heads together on this, that's all.
