Where to go in Cambridge, UK?

Question

to hang out, meet people and enjoy a nice evening out?

I'm talking clubs, pubs and alike, and I'm all alone and know nobody here, since I'm new in town...any special events I should take notice of?

(for reference, I'm 29...just saying this because different places cater to different age groups, sometimes)

my previous attempt gave miserable answers, so I'll try again, hoping for some suggestions

Where to go?

Just use the public conveniences. Or if it's late and they're shut go to a pub. Try not to go outside behind a tree unless you're really desperate.

Same rules apply for other towns and cities around the world.
