Where to go in Carribbean that's fun and cheap?

Question

My sister and I want to go someplace warm, with a beach and some fun things to do (snorkle, sightsee, layout, swim). We've looked at Naussau and Aruba but both seem overly expensive. Any thoughts on places to scout out that are nice, lean toward adults (not families with kids), would be warm and swimable in mid-April to mid-May, and don't cost an arm and a leg?? All-inclusive would be OK, or not. We're both fairly low maintenance. Thanks!

I'd strongly recommend St. Thomas and/or Antigua.  There is a FANTASTIC beach on St. Thomas called St. Johns, which is the best beach I've ever been to (I haven't been to every Carribean Island, but have visited more than 15 islands in the Carribean).   Martinique was also very nice for the culture (French and English).  Note that all travel outside US is a bit more expensive now, based on the low value of the US dollar.

I would check out Cancun, Riviera Maya or Cozumel in Mexico. They have some adult only resorts.

Go to Grenada... stay at The Gem Beach Holiday Resort on Morne Rouge Beach. Grenada is  one of the last true Caribbean Island experiences. Forget high rise hotels, casinos and all that c**p... go for authentic!
