Where to go in leeds, yorkshire???

im 17, 18 in a few months. i live in leeds but coz im not 18 i cant really go out much to pubs and clubs, and im not a big fan of cinemas or gigs. i also dont have much money. where could me, my friends or boyfriend go to for a cheap night out together thats a bit different?

  1. May I suggest you and your friends start by applying for  a Breezecard. You can apply online and it's free. Link below will give you lots of ideas, tell you about the discounts you can get with the card, and so on.

    Also, use your local library (it's not just for books), or even commmunity centre, where there's loads of information about things to do, events and organisations, in your area.


  2. There's always the Warner village, or whatever it's called now.

    This is at Burley.

    If you like greenery and lakes, there is always Round hay park.

    If you like a bit of history, there is always Temple Newsome with it's stately home and grounds.

    You could see the Leeds Rhino's rugby league team, or Yorkshire and England play cricket at Headingley.  You could see a football game at Elland Road.

    In August, there is also the Chapeltown carnival.  Plenty of colour there!  And it's not a criminal free for all, as some people might try to have you believe.  I used to live in Leeds myself.

    Nearby, are both Harrogate and York, which are both good days out.  And of course,  there are also the Yorkshire dales on your doorstep.
