  1. Birch Aquarium, Horton Plaza (Mall), Balboa Park, Cafe Sevilla (A spanish Resturant), Go to a Padres Game.

Sea World, San Diego Zoo, San Diego Wild Animal Park.

If you have money to spend:

Sea World: Do one of the animal interactions, Dine with Shamu.

Wild Animal Park: Roar and Snore, Safari thing.

    (They all are really fun)

    Hope this helps!!!

  2. Best shopping is at Fashion Valley and at University Town Center.  Food--PF Chang if you like great asian food.  There's a great Italian place in La Jolla (the Shores, not far from USCD) called Osteria Romantica--just wonderful food AND atmosphere.  Sammy's Woodfired Pizza is nice if you want casual--there's a Sammy's in LJ as well as Mission Valley.  Beaches--Tourmaline in Pacific Beach, Del Mar, Torrey Pines.  Go walk/ride beach cruiser on the boardwalk in PB, go down to the cove in La Jolla and then go have lunch at one of the restaurants above the cove that have a great view.

It doesn't sound like you have the time or inclination for a tourist weekend of zoo/sea world, but that you want to do what the locals do.

Have a wonderful time, and good luck on your APs!!!  My husband went there, as did my daughter's boyfriend, and they both loved it.

  4. You will love SD!

Everyone seemed to hit all the main attractions and places to go. I would, however, recommend the gaslamp district. Just being in downtown, especially at night has a great vibe and energy to it. Definitly worth the while if you want to go to a good resturaunt/club and shopping.

  5. I've been to San Diego several times, theres the San Diego Zoo which is cool, and adjacent to that is Balboa Park which usually has events on the weekends.  The beaches are fun too, like Mission Beach, where it doesn't cost to park and you can just relax on the sand.  Have fun!

  6. SEA WORLD you cant miss that if you r in San diego!
