My wife and I have enough airline miles to fly practically anywhere in the world. This year, it's our 10th anniversary. Where should we go for a 10 day trip, with 50% relaxing, 50% hiking / snorkling / sightseeing? Our requirements (in order of importance):

1. Peaceful -- few tourists / crowds

2. Excellent, plush beach w/good snorkling

3. "Paradise" like surroundings (i.e., Moorea, Kauai)

4. Mountains w/trails for light hiking

5. An "authentic" place w/local culture

6. Ability to get around cheaply without renting a car

7. Not absurdly expensive to stay in a decent hotel/villa/etc (i.e., not the Maldives)

8. Wildlife that's different than in the U.S.

This is the closest I have gotten to a short list. What am I missing?

Moorea

Bali

Bora Bora

Palawan, Philippines

Sri Lanka

Although I know most of these are on the expensive side.

We are not limited to A/P region; that's just what I've found so far.
