Where to go on Vacation?? to many options......?

I have 1 week of vacation starting october 26. I can not decide where i would like to go.. Iam 23 single and would like to have some fun, I dont want to spend more than 2 thousand on flight and Hotel, willing to travel overseas, Im thinking Italy but i dont know ..................please help

Is your budget $2000 total or just for flight and hotel?  There is no way you can spend a week in Italy for that little money - you'll be lucky if you can find R/T airfare and room for that much.  The exchange rate right now is horrible and Western Europe is very expensive.

Central America is doable on that kind of budget - Honduras is dirt cheap.

I guess it all depends on what kind of fun you are looking for - with the dollar at an all time low, domestic travel would prolly be best.  

Historical sites?  Beaches?  Theme parks?
