  1. I would first do the decent thing and talk to your provider about the issues.  Give them a chance to correct whatever issue it is rather then being hasty and contacting authorities.  Try and put the shoe on the other foot.  When making claims against a provider, you could damage their income.  If they have children, think about taking food out of their mouth, or having them be harmed because your angry and want to report.  Try talking to the provider and have them correct whatever it is that needs to be corrected.  Do onto them as you wish they do to you.  Give them a chance.  If it's a minor saftey issue and not something that has hurt a child, you should talk to them.  Maybe they're unaware of it.  If the problem doesn't get solved from talking to them and it's a major disconduct, then you should (AFTER speaking to the provider first) your next step is call state licensing for child daycare centers.  But don't go into haste and be vendictive (not saying you are, but trying to show you a way to be diplomatic about things and not just out to slit someone's throat out of anger)  Also know that what you do, report etc, can reflect on you getting into other licensing.  Providers do check for past complaints through their state for people filing accusations.  There are a lot, I do mean A LOT of people out there that file false accusations, so just make sure when filing that it's adequate.  Even though a complaint that is filed is supposed to be "anonomous", there are ways for a provider to find out who filed the complaint, and then they can sue you for slaunder.

Again, I'm not saying your doing any of this.  I just know a lot about these issues, so be careful when filing a complaint.  Try to resolve it outside of filing, for your sake, as well as another persons sake.
