Where to go/what do do in Campeche, Mexico?

My family is thinking about taking a month long trip to Campeche, Merida or another Yucatan Mexican city. Does anybody have advice on what to do around there? Do they have good beaches?

Merida and Campeche are simply beautiful, I've been there one time and I'm going back to Merida on march to remember all the good stuff. On the link below you can find lots of information about Yucatan a beautiful state with a lot of things to offer, the principal is:

- Arqueological places, dont miss Uxmal, Chichen itza, Edzna (in campeche)

- Cenotes, this magic caves with water in Valladolid and all the peninsula

- Beaches, there are a lot

- Old haciendas
