Where to honeymoon for $2000 for two ppl overseas including air?

I want to know what is the best deal you have come across for a trip overseas...anywhere. We are planning to elope this fall anytime from September to November for about 7-9 days. We will fly out of Nashville, tn or Chicago, il. I would like to know the cheapest airfare you have seen and/or vacation packages. We would really like to go to Rome, Italy but are checking out all options. You know what they say..."If the price is right.....

2000 two people overseas?

Impossible, you wouldn't enjoy it. I mean, is doable but you would have to stay in 1 star hostals, eat once a day and drink the fountains water.

Try a cheaper place or save an extra 2000.

Airfares have increased tremdously.

Play with the trip cost ( fill in the space with "Fare and Schedule" )

On this site, they have SPECIAL OFFERS...so watch for those.

Leaving from Chi IL  you have a better shot at one.

I feel its impossible, with hotels raising their rates due to gas costs ( and people not travelling as much) to do something "honeymoon worthy"

Well a suggestion would be to try a cruisliner to go many places overseas. If too pricey the sandals resorts are spectacular because EVERYTHING is all inclusive. Food, drinks, excursions, whatever on the resort is free for you. Depending on what you like it can cost anywhere from 800 to 2000 a person.

You could probably manage this, but do you really want to ?

Every aspect of the trip would have to be the

lowest-cost option.

(Trafalgar Tours has a 1-week in London package for $835,

their only offering under $1000/person, not including air.)

Realistically, you would be better off finding a

nice place closer to home for your honeymoon,

and saving up for a while so that you could do this

right, with more time and more money,

rather than being jet-lagged, "bargain basement"

tourists for a week. (And newlyweds at that!)
