  1. agreed...solf, Use an online brokerage firm that has good beginner qualitys {like tutorials or easy to understand set up}, i use zecco, better then schwab, etrade, etc. they are the only ones with free stock trades, no minumums..

  2. Invest in Mutual Funds:

These funds are a type of security that can be traded on the stock market, allowing shareholders to buy and sell shares in the funds. The revenue generated by purchase of shares is used by mutual fund manager to buy more shares of specific stocks, bonds, and other market securities and money market instruments. Since the prices of the stocks, bonds, and other securities held by the mutual fund vary, the value of the fund changes. The average value of every share of the mutual fund is fixed daily based on the total value of the underlying securities held by the fund.

  3. If I had more money, I would invest in solars as SHORT-term investment. Solar stocks have been beat so badly last month. FSLR reported fantastic earnings last week, and many other solar including JASO, LDK, YGE are reporting next week. This will make solars rebound for a while, although the overall trend of the stock market is down with this bad economy.

I believe SOLF is the best one out there with so many new contracts. SOLF reports late August though.

Remember, this is where "I" would put my money. You are the only one responsible with making your OWN decision, and acting wisely based on it.

  4. I been buying up RV manufactures like Monaco Coach (MNC) and Coachmen Industries (COA). I also bought a tow truck manufacturer

    Miller Industries (MLR).

  5. Think outside of the box.

Stocks are not doing good, and fixed income securities are not able to keep up with inflation.
