Where to learn how to kayak in southern AZ or Sonora, CA?

My husband would like to have lessons or something this summer to learn how to kayak. Any information on where he should go would be appreciated.

If you can make it up to the Phoenix area, the Tempe Parks & Recreation department has introductory paddling classes:
