  1. the DMV

  2. Then a car rental, or if you have friends who have manual transmission and is generous enough to let you practice on it will be a solution for you. Or, be like me. Just join the automotive line, where you have no choice but to master your driving skills of manual, automatic and sequential transmissions as a whole. Skill will be developed for free.

  3. Your local Department of Motor Vehicles should offer a Driver's Education class on stick shift driving.  That's the best and first place you should check out.

If the DMV doesn't offer this, any number of companies should offer hands on Driver's Education courses in this.  Google the search terms "driver's education stick shift" and include your city and state.

Many Driver's Ed companies offer vehicles for you to be educated on, if you don't have one of your own.  There may be a fee for insurance purposes, but that's normal.

  4. Call all the rental car places in your area.  Sometimes places like Advantage have them.  Ask each that do not have them if they know of one that does.

Remember to bring someone who can drive a stick with you.
