  1. I would say islington as there is more to do plus much closer to lets say oxford street its just a bus ride away. Theres quite a young crowd there too however a little dangerous.. Good luck and enjoy

  2. I've worked in offices very near to both of these places, and I'd definitely go for the Kirby Street address  - first of all, it's a quiet back street (whereas Old Street is a very busy main road), and the area around about is a lot nicer and characterful (in a pleasant way) - there's some interesting street markets nearby (Leather Lane, Exmouth Market), one of the nicest shopping streets in London (Lamb's Conduit Street), several really delightful pubs (The Rugby Tavern, The Duke (of York), The Lamb), a good cinema (the Renoir in the Brunswick Centre) nearby, good bookshops, etc. I don't know where you're studying, but that address would also be nearer to several of the main University of London libraries, etc, and the British Library isn't far away either.

The Old Street address isn't really SO bad (but it's not really Islington either - more Finsbury/the edge of Clerkenwell), but really nowhere near as nice as the other one.

  3. 122-128 Old Street, Islington, LONDON,

    EC1V 9BD

  4. I would definitely recommend the Kirby Street location.  This is much closer to the city center, shopping, and good restaurants.  I used to live on Gray's Inn Road about 2 blocks from the address you listed and I went to school in Islington.  I do like Islington, but it is definitely less safe than Kirby Street.  I would not feel safe walking at night in Islington.

The Kirby Street location has easy access to great pubs and shops on Holborn, the tube at Chancery Lane or Farrington and the Smithfield Market.  You're also very close to Russel Square which has a great variety of restaurants.  Two of my favorite restaurants are near here (one Chinese and one Indian).  Everything you need is neaby, groceries, transportation, shopping, theatres, etc.  The convenience part is likely also true for the Islington location, but if you are living alone I would not feel as comfortable.  Three of my friends were mugged within a 4 month time in Islington - 2 girls and 1 guy.  There were also many wanted posters for crimes that occurred in the area.

  5. Angel, Islington is nice

  6. yes islington is less safe
