Where to look for a place to live?

me and my girlfriend are looking to move out into a new flat, we are expecting our first baby in december. my partner has had bad credit with landlords as her ex messed her around. We know that the chances of her passing the credit checks are minimal, we are not sure what to do as nearly every place does them. Does anyone know of anything that might help. we live in Exeter, Devon. help would be appreciated.

Contact the credit companies, Equifax and Experion, and explain the debts were due to her x bf. They will amend their records.

If you get married, your credit should work, but you didn't mention what it was like.
