Where to move to in Australia (from South Africa)?

We're from Cape Town, South Africa, & considering emigrating to Australia. Anyone knows which Oz cities are similar to CT (weather-wise, except for the wind offcourse), and close to the beach, and beautiful too?

I live in Melbourne so I'd definitely recommend coming up here. Great beaches, sports, shopping .... but we have pretty $%^* winters!! lol

So maybe I'd go for Brisbane or Sydney instead (but be prepared to pay more in Sydney) as they have great "summer" beachy lifestyles up the coast.

There are lots of South Africans in Melbourne and Sydney if you feel the need to be around others with the same accent.  Perth is a great city with warm weather and beautiful beaches and is the easiest place to fly home for holidays.
