Where to park in downtown Albany?

I am going to be in downtown Albany tomorrow visiting several buildings including the empire state plaza. What parking garage is the most convenient. There are so many and i know they fill up fast and have a lot of restrictions... closest to State St. would be great!

Empire State Plaza parking garage is your best choice, also the garage attached to the Times Union Center nearby. Both garages can fill fast with state workers. Check both links below for information.  If you can arrive very early in the morning there is a lot next to the NY State Museum.

There aren't a lot of other garages in town, the closest ones being behind the Crowne Plaza Hotel and another down on Pearl St.
