  1. Your local school district has a "Child Find" service. Children as young as age two can be assessed and enter a Pre-K program at age 3, for free. I would contact them immediately. If they don't have "Child Find" ask for the Pre-K department.

Your pediatrician is another good source for help with child development. Ask around and find someone who is good.

You can also search the web for info on child development. Here is a good website to review to understand the early ages.

    http://www.pbs.org/parents/childdevelopm...

Remember however the kids develop differently and unless there is something radical, don't worry about it. Also, boys tend to lag behind girls in many stages of development.

  2. in the united states- a achild under 3 can be referred to special child health services in your county to be evaluated and treated for developmental delays-

    after 3-contact your school district

don't rely on your pediatricain-it's been my experience they they blow off parents at least 75% of the time when the parent tries to discuss developmentla delays-even when they are obvious like a 2 yera old not talking--

consult a developmental pediatrician, pediatric neurologist or developmental neuro...

  3. you Pediatrition should detect any certain problems, when the child is younger.  and they will refer u if necessary
