Where to search academic economics literature?

I'm a science major shifting into economics, and wanted to do a literature search to readup on some articles written by different economics professors. But where would I look it up?

Is there a search engine of sorts to look up economics (or other social science) publications, similar to pubmed is for biological sciences?

Jstor has a ton of articles from major journals.

Also, you could browse the economics journals in your library for the most recent articles.

another suggestion

ask one of your professors to recommend a book that is a compendium of modern influential economic articles.

that way, you start with the useful stuff.
