I have been told that there are many places from the California Border to Ensenada to see the migration of these Butterflies. I have yet to find anything online that gives any specific locations to see them. Do you know of any?

  1. So far, we've only seen a few. The drought here in Baja has reduced the local stop over habitat to next to nothing. Not the best place to see them.

  2. You will have to take a plane from Baja california to Mexico City or Toluca and drive to one of the many butterfly sanctuaries in Mexico State or Michoacán.

  3. Well you may see some there but not much the best place to go is in the state of Michoacan there is a national park called" the sanctuary of the monarch butterfly but maybe it's to far for you. Because its a 30 hour drive still from TJ

  4. On TV.

Maybe you could see one or two lost Monarca butterflies there, but they stay at Michoacán state's woods; actually really far from Baja California. Michoacán's capital is Morelia, that state is wonderful for tourists, even mexican tourists, you can see "purépecha" towns (indians), you could visit Pátzcuaro lake, and many bautiful places. You should try a look for "Michoacan" . I 'll give you one link, the site is in english.
