Question:

Where to sell antique 1930s Sterling flatware...?

I have a 12 place setting, sterling silver flatware set from the 1930s, Oneida's "King Cedric".

It's been appraised at about $14000.

In the research I've done so far, the most expensive one that sold is around $1360 on ebay. So ebay's not the way to go on expensive items apparently.

Does anyone know a good place to sell these and get a price around the $10000 (or close to it)?

Thanks.

  1. For more expensive items, you may want to post on a webpage, and sell through negotiation instead of throwing on eBay and list for 10 days auction. Do you have some pictures? Post it on http://www.HouseOfNothing.com and get a webpage ad for your item

  2. I'd sell it on ebay or maybe at an up coming auction.

  3. I would suggest checking with replacements.com   I think they buy silver...

or you can sell it on ebay :)  either as a single lot or a few pieces at a time.  I have purchased several pieces on ebay to replace lost or damaged ones.
