  1. u must try searching in magazines or the daily news

  2. Hi,

You might want to check France USA Contacts (FUSAC): http://www.fusac.fr/

    Have a great trip!

  3. I'm not sure what you really mean since your question suggests a tourist visit and then seems to ask for a "good place to live" which are quite different things.

If you are traveling to Paris as a tourist then you should pick a place to stay that is in the very center of the city. Staying in the suburbs (which is implied by you saying "convenient to visit the city") is an mistake.

Tourists will find that the 4th, 5th or 6th arrondissements are the most convenient.

In the center there are a lot of hotels but two of my favorites in the inexpensive class are the Hotel St. Andre des Artes ( http://www.123france.com/en/0/hotel-sain... ) and the Hotel de Nesle ( http://www.hoteldenesleparis.com/ )

These are simple but clean and charming places.  BUT they are NOT the Holiday Inn or a Best Western. There are no elevators, minibars, room service, ice machines, or cable TV.

If you are planning a stay of more than the usual tourist 10-12 days then you may want to consider a short term apartment rental. There are a lot of companies that do this. Some reliable ones are:

    http://www.parisaddress.com

    http://www.paris-be-a-part-of-it.com/ind...

  4. Try www.centralparisrentals.com All properties are in the first arrondisement and an easy walk to everything. Having a kitchen will really help keep costs down. You can find a Franprix market near any location and get prepared as well as fresh foods there.

  5. When I stayed there I stayed in a rented flat (apartment) in central Paris and I booked withg http://www.holiday-velvet.com/paris

They specialise in holiday and vacation apartment rentals in Paris.

  6. We just come back from Paris with my wife. We rented a wonderful flat close to the Eiffel Tower, ideal for a couple. The owner was very nice. Here is his website: holidays.in.paris.over-blog.com

Tell him that you know us, he will appreciate;-)

    Good luck in your research!
