  1. its best to be realistic to start with. your first job will probably be a boring one but it'll pay your way while you're looking for something better. you could use some of your spare time to further your I.T. skills

  2. I suggest volunteering if you want experience.

But if you need money immediately I suggest working in an office.

Pad out your resume and start emailing.

  3. I had nothing, although I had just come out of university with a degree (albeit an awful one). I went to the job centre and worked my @55 off to apply for loads of office jobs, enrolled with a bunch of agencies and I got my CV looked at for free as a result of a referral from one of the staff there.

Once I had a decent CV, I uploaded it to loads of local job search engines as well as all the big ones (Monster, Reed, TotalJobs), I went back into loads of agencies and explained that I had no experience, but I needed a way of proving my skills. One or two agencies started me on a few quick tests on MS office software. Once I had proved my skills, I got a temp to perm role within a week. I am now working full time for my local college, and getting training along with it.

Good luck, and remember not to let any opportunities go unnoticed! =oD

  4. T-Mobile Call Center but it will spoil you.  they pay really well, the job is easy and it has AWESOME benefits!

    Check it out

They won the JD Power and Associates award as top ten businesses 7 years in a row!

  5. Check out a few temp agencies in your area and tell them what you are looking for.  You'll be surprised, what type of companies go through temp agencies for new hires.  It will give you a chance to try out different types of companies, make money, and if you are interested, perhaps get a position that is temp-to-hire.

I used an agency after years in the tech industry and they had an interview lined up for my within 15 minutes of arrival.  I've been with this company for 4 years now and still love it.  With tuition reimbursement, paying for grad school is easy.

BTW, even without a paying job to include on your resume, any volunteer work, free tutoring, skills, etc. are vital items that you can add to you resume/CV/job application.

    Good luck!!

  6. depends on what you want. once i can start working, im working at nordstroms or ulta. i love the clothes at nordstroms, and i can take a discount if i work there. and at ulta, you give make overs to people all day. fun! ha. dont work shelf work. boring. do something you like. try to find something related to what your gona study.

  7. Become a politician. Our elected representatives are expert in never working a day in a life.  The pay is excellent too!

  8. good luck. try writing a cv first. if you want these people always get new people on board I hated it but its all right 4 the first job.

  9. well start by asking yourself this

what do you want to be when you grow up?

    go from there....

  10. college

  11. Go watch "Step-Brothers" the movie. I'm sure you'll get some great ideas and inspiration from it.

  12. job centre x

  13. become a weather forecaster

    its easy

just predict rain, with a few sunny spells. then rain, showers, more sunny spells, with the odd thunder storm

  14. My last job was working the circulation desk at a library part-time.  That was a lot of fun.  There isn't much money to transact, there are plenty of things to read, and the atmosphere is quiet.  If you like kids, often there are children's programs to work with.

  15. become president. lotsa money. no work.
