  1. Wow, where to begin??  On the Internet, there are SO many adoption information websites!  That is a good place to start.

    Adoption.com

    About.Adoption.com

    ABCAdoptions.com

    Adoption.org

Join adoption forums and get all the information you need.  Also, search on Yahoo for old questions related to adoption.  You will find a wealth of information.  This question gets asked about 5 times a week!

    Good luck!

  2. In the UK: Talk to your local family placement services as a starting point and be prepared for a slow process.  You can contact them via your district council website or local social services.

They can walk you through the process - but you're looking at a couple of years.  So don't hold your breath.

If you want to do more of a Q&A e-mail me on jwc197@yahoo.com.  I'm going through the same process but am about a year down the line.

  3. Step one is to get a homestudy, and then you'll have to shop around for the right agency or attorney.  You also need to weigh the pros and cons of domestic/international, open/closed, infant/child, etc.  This site should help you get started.  Good luck!

  4. Depends on what you want an infant or a child. Child Protective Services is good with Fostering to adopt and then there are plenty of places that just do infants.  If your a member of a church, they may have some places as well.

  5. i suggest the social services, hope you find the right baby,God bless

  6. Hi there

I am at the minute 6months pregnant and my unborn child is

going to be adopted i have though long and hard about it and it is the best for he or she.

I did lok on here for parents but it is not the correct place to look as i have found out.  I have now gone down the proper

channels and have contacted the social services with regards to the adoption and they are helping me every way they can.

So i think the best place is to contact your local social services who will also be able to put you in touch with adoption agencies.

    Good luck with your search
