Where to stay and things to do in Cancun,Mexico?

Question

I am traveling to Cancun, Mexico in July and will be going with my husband of 15 years for our anniversary. Can anyone tell me of their experience? Where did you stay? nightlife? things to do?

There are plenty of things to do in Cancun, for example you can go to "XCARET Eco-Park", "Xel-Ha Eco-Park", to name a few parks, or you can also swim with dolphins, or ride the "Subsea Explorer "Just to mention some things to do in Cancun day.

At night you can go to "Playa del Carmen" and take a welcome cocktail served in an exotic bar located inside a cave, or go to "Coco Bongo".

Me and some friends stayed at the RIU resort.  We had a great time.  It was a lot of fun.  We went to a few clubs, like on the main strip.  I would tell you the names of them, but we went last year, I got really drunk, and I don't remember.  Make sure to make an excursion out to the Mayan ruins.  It was the coolest.  But the nightlife is great for the under 30 crowd.  I don't know how old you guys are, but just something to think about.
