My boyfriend and I can't drive and I can't walk too much (chronic fatigue syndrome) and I'd like a relaxing holiday with sun and sea and the Mr would like somewhere we can explore too, so I thought Cyprus! But where would you recommend we stay seeing as we can't drive and I'd like boat trips and nice resort and he wants historical/interesting places to visit? We're happy to take coach trips, but no idea if they offer coach trips from certain places. Any advice would be gratefully received!

  1. Hi I live and work in Paphos Cyprus and it is absolutely fabulous something for everyone. Local bus service is good to get you to the harbour to see the castle and the mosaics or wonder along the newly pedestrianised promenade with it's shops and cafe bars. You can also get the bus to Coral Bay this is where you can find a couple of nice sandy beeches also there is the Market in Pano Paphos which is the old town ideal to grab your  holiday souvenirs. I f you do decide to come get in touch my office is called Paforentals and i can help you book your trips to Troodos,Limassol,Nicosia the divided capital, North Cyprus, Kyrenia or Famagusta all  local boat excursions jeep safaris cruises to egyptIsraell etc. So call me 26 961555 at a fraction of the price you pay to your rep.

  2. Yes, try and look for a holiday in Paphos. Form here, you can easily walk to the mosaics near the harbour, and the Tombs of The kings are just a short bus ride away. also near to Paphos is Aphrodites Rock, Aphrodites Birthplace etc, and you can always take organised coach trips into Lefkosia ( Nicosia), Kourion, where the Amphitheatre is, and even take a trip to the Troodos Moutains,

    I live at th opposite end of the island in Xylofagou, near to Agia Napa, and though there are some historical, and archealogical sites here, theres not quite as much to see as in and around Paphos;

  3. i was supposed to be in cyprus now, but i got sent home early lol.

i have no idea about the touristic places there. but i know that theres a place called lefke? or lefkosha? if im not mistaken. well, theres a lot of places there just ask the locals they all know english and im sure you will go far. there are very honorable people you might want to visit there as well. do some research.

  4. Pafos. Try finding a flight direct to Pafos, and I'd recommend that you stay in a hotel near Pafos port.

  5. I've got the ideal holiday destination for you - Kyrenia in North Cyprus. Stay in this historic town centre and you'll have everything you need for you both to have a lovely holiday.

You can relax with a coffee or a leisurely lunch at the pretty  Venetian harbour, just a few minutes gentle stroll from a good choice of hotels, before exploring the ancient shipwreck in the museum in Kyrenia's imposing castle. There are fascinating shops and artisan workshops tucked in the winding medieval streets behind the harbour, and in the evening, you have a great choice of lovely restaurants, some with rooftop terraces where you can dine under the stars.

There are lovely beaches just a short bus or taxi ride from Kyrenia centre, with golden sands and shallow waters, ideal for gentle paddling!

If you want to see more of North Cyprus, simply hire a taxi for the day, and choose what period of history you want to explore! Walk in the footsteps of Romans in the ancient ruins at Salamis, or admire the view from the Othello's Tower in the walled city of Famagusta.

If you want to be based near the sea, try an all-inclusive resort such as the Acapulco, where everything is right on your doorstep, yet you are just a short (free) transfer from Kyrenia itself. See the websites below for some great North Cyprus websites for flights, hotels and what to see!

  6. google it

sorry idk but i just dont

hope u find where u  want to stay and have a good time

  7. You need to stay at the west end of the island.ie.Paphos........................... not go to aiya napa its like Blackpool and theres not much in the way of historical sites in the east of the island

  8. Ayia Napa ;)

  9. Paphos is definitely the choice for your requirements. The Mosaics and Tombs of the Kings in Paphos are steeped in history and, although the beaches themselves are not great in Paphos centre, if you choose a nice hotel on the sea front, many have their own stretch of private beach for you to relax in complete privacy.

For suggestions on hotels, best beaches and possible excursions including the cheapest ways to get around and also to book your hotel/apartment see the attached informative website:

  10. go to protaris you can get boat trips to the island their and lots of trips especially boat trips also got a nice beach and entertaiment at night and the taxi are cheap if you want to go to the water park i did nt like ayia napa for the young their

  11. Limassol is the best place to stay! it has great beaches and lots of historical places! Give it a try!

  12. Paphos is a destination to go for the landmarks of stuff like the beaches, Aphrodite's rock, there are some great mountains and water parks. theres plenty to do day and night. they also do day trip flights to eygypt from paphos and 1-3 day cruises around eygypt

  13. If you want a relaxing holiday then come to North Cyprus which incidentally is not Greek. As yet not as commercialised as the South. Plenty to see and do cheap to get around using the local buses (dolmus). Cheap to eat out and definitely cheaper than the Uk for booze and cigarettes. I fyou come over in the next 2 weeks you will be able to see the turtle nests hatching and the babies all heading for the sea, it is a spectacular sight and not to be missed. Gullet (boat) trips available from Kyrenia (Girne) harbour which is about 10k's from Lapta which is an extremely lovely part of the island I should know I live there. Hotel Sempati website a good place to start looking usually some good deals to be had. They also have a PADI dive centre if you fancy some scuba diving. Hope this helps you to make up your mind. Wherever you go have a good holiday.

  14. Agia Napa has a beautiful beach. It's a touristy area, but there are clubs

    and some interesting stuff there.

Pafos should be good too, I can't remember too much though,

after the traumatizing hotel experience, I blocked it out. lol

  15. Pafos is the right place for you. There are many hotels of all catecories in a walking distance (2-3 minutes) from the harbour which is a lovely place to be. Next to the harbour is the archaelogical park, an area where the ancient city was, so there are many historical things to see. So, ask your agent for a hotel near the harbour.
