Where to stay in Jamaica? should we change hotels?

We are planning a 6 day trip to Jamaica and we are flying into Montego Bay. We want to visit Ocho Rios and Negril as well. Should we stay at just one hotel in any of these towns or is it recommended to stay at different locations (for example 1st day in Montego Bay, 2 days in Ocho rios, 1 day in Negril and last dat in Montego Bay) so we don't waste time in commute from one location to other?

Any help is appreciated.

If you go to an all inclusive like Sandals, or the Super Club chain of hotels, you can book dinner or spend the day in any of those 3 areas of Jamaica.

Negril is very different from very busy Montego Bay.

Ocho Rios is my favorite because its lovely, has everything, but on a smaller scale.

It would be wonderful to book through the hotel  different nights in different towns.

Sandels is a great resort but if you just want a day here and a day or 2 somewhere else check out the smaller hotel and lesser known resorts. I stayed at samsara /legends resort  in Negril and in Ocho Rios we stayed at a little place that was between the sandal resort (for $40 a night) It was cute and very clean. I am at work now and the brouchere is at home.of course. But I urge you to look in to other options. I just fell in love with the country and will be back for a longer holiday next year.3- 4 weeks good luck and have fun fun fun!

Your best bet would be to split your stay, as you said, to avoid commuter time.

Sandals has properties in all those locations and they're All inclusive!

I Just got back From BEACHES NEGRIL....it was amazing...I would definately go there
