you are likely to find a place to stay...for free.  it wont be a hostel or hotel thou - it'll be someone's home.  and they might even show you around or invite you to dinner.

Venere is pretty good ... i like them , but these folks have a big directory of hotels and accommodation places that are very cheap .... also last minute deals :
