We are heading to St. Louis for a couple of days? Does anyone have any suggestions of where to stay that is close to the Zoo and allows dogs? Thanks for any and all suggestions!

  1. Motel 8 allows pets.  I don't know if there is one in St. Louis.  You can try travel websites like Orbitz, priceline, hotels.com, and  travelocity.  When you start your search, they will ask you questions to help you find the right hotel.  That is how I found out about Motel 8.

  2. There is a Drury Inn and suites that is brand new, as fell as a Red Roof and Holiday Inn all near Interstate 44 and Hampton Avenue.  These would be some of the places closer to the zoo and forest park, but I don't know if any of them allows pets.  You would have to call and check.  Otherwise I might look in Kirkwood, MO it's further out 44 but has several more hotels and you should be able to get to the zoo without too much traffic.

  3. Chase Park Plaza - expensive, but best hotel in St. Louis!

Otherwise, for convenience, consider Holiday Inn along I-64 across from zoo and Forest Park.

  4. Try right across the river in Collinsville Illinois. It is a whole lot cheaper.
